From watching this movie, I learned a lot about how people have to strugle whenever they want to make a change. First, they have ideas. Some of it works, some of it does not. When it does not, others start questioning. They doubt the idea. They asked the 'people' to go back to 'how it used to be' by following the old rules. The people keep on inovating. What's os wrong of experimenting new ideas to make a better world. Then they start to use forces. Then, people feel lost, frustated. Is there any hope? Keep on thinking, until the right time comes. You try your ideas again. It works. Then you start to have hope again.

Apa rasanya tidak mengajar sebulan? Sepi. Saya sedang libur semester. Baru akan masuk lagi tengah September. Pekerjaan sebenarnya lumayan banyak dan menumpuk tapi saya tidak sedang mengajar. Tidak mengajar apapun. Tidak mengajar di mentari (lagi libur), tidak mengajar privat (sudah tidak lagi), dan tidak mengajar di kelas (libur juga). Rasanya sepi banget. Seperti separuh energiku ketarik. Hilang. Benar-benar kangen berbagi ilmu & bertemu murid, siswa, mahasiswa, anak-anak, rekan belajar, apapun dipanggilnya. Sebenarnya sih , semenjak ada teknologi, saya tetap bisa berkomunikasi dengan murid saya, menyebarkan gagasan, dan berbagi ilmu. Tapi rasanya berbeda. Saya juga ingin bertatap muka. Saat Idul Fitri, saya sempat ikut adik ipar saya ke rumah seorang guru besar UI, rumah dosennya. Haro itu ada kegiatan  open house . "Setiap tahun kita pasti ke sini," katanya. Di rumah guru besarnya tersedia berbagai makanan yang ditata dengan sederhana. Ada banyak sekali mahasiswanya ...

Salah satu kebahagiaan terbesar saya ketika saya mengajar adalah melihat hubungan persahabatan & kebersamaan antara murid-murid saya. Menurut saya, persahabatan yang berdasarkan rasa saling menyayangi & ketulusan adalah salah satu modal terbesar dalam hidup. Because we can never be successful if we are alone. We need support from many people around us .  Saya selalu percaya bahwa kesuksesan bukanlah kerja seorang individu saja. Memang sih untuk bisa sukses kita butuh kerja keras, usaha. Ini memang harus dilakukan sendiri. But that is not enough . Our individual success happens because of the collective work of people who care about us. People who pray for us, who give us advice, who cheer us up when we are down, who pray for us, and love us! Ada sesuatu yang besar yang terjadi dalam hidup saya beberapa hari ini. Sebuah sukses sederhana. Tentu saja saya ingin segera menyampaikan kabar tersebut ke orang-orang yang saya sayangi, sahabat saya, salah satunya  Mbak Anu...
