The Future of Education: Journal Reflection 1 (Part 1)
Based on your experience as a learner, what do you think you will be able to get out of this course? Since a few years ago, I started having a very ambitious dream. I wanted to write a blue print about the future of Indonesia's education. Then, one day, coincidentally, I was watching a TEDx London talk by Ken Spours. He mentioned that to revolutionize the education in England "we should start by trying to agree about our value". In his talk he mentioned three main values. First, that everybody counts, everybody can be educated, everybody is educable, and everybody can both think and do. Second, that we must consider the law of care, which meant that the ones who need the most must get the most.Third, he argued that we should move from the word "versus" toward the word "and". For example, the term "subject versus real life experiences" and "knowledge versus skills" should rather be "subject and real life experiences&q
